Job summary

10 Recruitment is recruiting for a Trainee Extrusion Setter / Production Operator in Bingley. The role is permanent, full-time with rotating shifts and a starting rate of £14.00 per hour plus overtime.

The successful candidate will begin as a Production Operator / Machine Operator and progressively train across the manufacturing process and plastics operation. You will work with extrusion and conversion machinery, loading raw materials, monitoring processes, and building the skills to become an

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Consistent and stable employment history.
• Experience operating machinery or working around production machinery.
• Comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Ability to follow detailed production and safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Comfortable working rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate production, conversion, bagging and extrusion machinery.
• Load and prepare raw materials and film for production.
• Develop machine-setting skills over time.
• Monitor machinery and production processes.
• Carry out production and quality records accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
• Identify and report machinery faults or production issues.
• Support recycling and waste reduction and packaging operations.
