Barnsley Council invites applications for an Assistant Educational Psychologist within the Barnsley Educational, Child and Community Psychology Service (BECCPS). You will join a dynamic team shaping SEND priorities and delivering impactful support for children and families across Barnsley.

Essential requirements include a psychology degree (GBC), experience with SEND, and commitment to inclusion. Enhanced DBS and potential overseas checks apply; flexible/hybrid working is offered where possible.

Competenze

• Honours degree in Psychology.
• Experience of working with children who have SEND.
• Experience of reducing barriers to learning and promoting inclusion.
• Ability to travel to schools and community settings across the borough.

Mansioni

• Speak English to an appropriate standard.
• Be prepared for Enhanced DBS check and overseas criminal records check if applicable.
• Assist BECCPS Educational Psychologists to support children and families.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of educational psychology services.
