Job summary

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Educational Psychologist to join the Barnsley Educational, Child and Community Psychology Service. The post offers a fixed term contract for 3 years, with Agile Working arrangements and a salary ranging from £53,233 to £63,943.

The role involves delivering person-centred assessments, shaping SEND developments, and providing training within schools and across services, to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified Educational Psychologist.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Ability to travel to schools and community settings across the borough.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred consultation and assessment work.
• Shape local authority SEND developments and strategic priorities.
• Lead and contribute to task-and-finish groups.
• Deliver whole-school and centralised training.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across services and disciplines.
• Influence inclusive practice at individual, whole school and system levels.
