Job summary

Barnsley Council is seeking an Assistant Educational Psychologist to join the Barnsley Educational, Child and Community Psychology Service (BECCPS). You will support qualified EPs in applying psychology to schools and settings to promote positive learning outcomes for children and young people in the borough.

The role offers flexible and hybrid working with professional development opportunities and a strong commitment to inclusion and collaboration across education, health, and social care

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology confirming Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC).
• Experience with children with special educational needs a plus.
• Ability to travel to schools and community settings across the borough.
• Experience promoting inclusion and reducing barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist Educational Psychologists in applying and delivering psychology to partners, schools and settings to promote learning outcomes.
• Contribute to service development and support for children and young people in Barnsley.
