Job Description:

This role is based at one of the best SEN schools in Surrey, providing a safe learning environment for children with complex learning, social, and communication difficulties, including physical disabilities. The school offers therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech and language therapies, integrated into the children’s Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). The team collaborates closely with therapists to support the physical and emotional needs of the children. The school boasts excellent facilities, including a therapy pool, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology, with on-site training and support to aid career progression into roles like senior support assistants, teachers, or therapy assistants.

Responsibilities:
  1. Providing assistance and support for children before, during, and after lessons.
  2. Helping children understand and participate in tasks appropriately.
  3. Encouraging the development of social skills.
  4. Maintaining individual student records.
  5. Supporting confidence and motivation development.
  6. Participating in team meetings and training programs as an active team member.
  7. Supporting organizational culture in collaboration with managers and staff.
  8. Following safeguarding regulations.
  9. Supporting individual needs, including medical and personal care tasks (training provided).
Candidate Profile and Benefits:

  • Daily rate: £88-£105 (9am-3.30pm, 5-day week).
