Daily Pay Rate: £160 – £240 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Sutton is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated SEND Teacher with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . This is a full-time position starting in September 2025 with the potential to move from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will work closely with students with ASD in a dedicated SEND provision within the school or as part of the wider inclusion team. Your focus will be on delivering tailored learning that meets individual needs, supporting academic development, social communication, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with ASD

Create a structured, nurturing, and sensory-aware classroom environment

Collaborate with the SENDCo, teaching assistants, and external specialists

Monitor and track pupil progress through EHCP targets and personalised plans

Support the development of communication, social skills, and independence

Foster strong partnerships with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent SEND teaching qualification

Proven experience teaching students with ASD at secondary level

Strong knowledge of autism strategies (, TEACCH, PECS, Zones of Regulation)

A calm, patient, and flexible approach to teaching

Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

A commitment to inclusive education and holistic support
