Job summary

The House of KOKO in Camden is seeking an ambitious Commis Chef to join our growing kitchen brigade. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a dynamic hospitality operation, learning from Head Chefs and Sous Chefs, while developing your technical cooking skills and contributing to high-quality meals for members and guests.

We welcome candidates at early career stages and offer an environment focused on training, feedback, and progression.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking and building a career in a professional kitchen.
• Some kitchen experience or training is welcome.
• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
• Good organisation and cleanliness.
• Interest in learning new techniques, ingredients and ways of working.
• Awareness of food hygiene and safety, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn from Head Chefs, Sous Chefs and senior kitchen team, developing skills and confidence.
• Assist with food preparation, weighing, portioning and preparing ingredients to standard.
• Help prepare and cook dishes, following recipes and service standards.
• Keep workstation clean, organised and well stocked for service.
