Job summary

Fiveways School in Somerset, in partnership with SPTS, seeks an Apprentice Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) Advisor to support young people with SEN by providing tailored careers advice across schools and settings. You will work with students, families and professionals to plan future pathways and gain hands-on experience while training for a Level 6 qualification.

The role is a two-year fixed-term contract, 30 hours per week during term time plus inset days, with safeguarding checks, DBS

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting children, young people, or adults with SEND.
• Experience working with people with Special Educational Needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored careers advice and support to students, families, schools and professionals.
• Collaborate with schools and other professionals to plan future pathways for young people.
• Assist with delivering training and progression support toward the Level 6 qualification.
