Job summary

Toppesfield is a leading UK surfacing contractor and is seeking experienced Machine Lay Surfacing Gangs and Asphalt Operatives to join the Site Operations team in Derby. You will contribute to delivering asphalt surfacing works safely, efficiently and to a high standard, as part of a skilled crew including a Foreman and Plant Operators.

Ideal candidates will have proven asphalt surfacing experience, valid CSCS, plant operator tickets, and a full UK driving licence (preferred).

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card.
• Relevant plant operator tickets.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
• Proven experience in asphalt surfacing.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering machine and hand lay surfacing across a variety of projects.
• Laying, levelling and compacting asphalt materials.
• Operating paving and compacting equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.
• Working to daily programmes and production targets.
• Following Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) procedures.
