Job summary
Breedon Group plc is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator at Cardiff to join our Operations and Maintenance team. You will batch asphalt, operate plant equipment, and help maintain safe, efficient operations in line with safety, environmental and quality standards.
Reporting to the Asphalt Plant Manager, you will contribute to daily site activities, support maintenance tasks, and uphold our safety-first culture across shifts, with some night or weekend work as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within an asphalt plant is beneficial.
- A positive attitude towards health and safety.
- Flexibility and adaptability in your work approach.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Please note: This role may require some night and weekend working.
Responsibilities
- Batch asphalt and conduct general house keeping of the asphalt plant.
- Operate a Dumper Truck, Loading Shovel and weighbridge, adhering to safety and operational procedures.
- Assist with the overall day-to-day operations of the site, promoting our safety culture.
- Operate systems according to established procedures.
