Job summary

FM Conway is recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operative to support the Aggregate and Asphalt division in Erith. You will operate the loading shovel and other mobile plant, assisting with asphalt production and material dispatch.

The role is permanent, full-time with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days and nights. A full UK driving license and a valid loading shovel license are required, along with health and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license and valid loading shovel license.
• Demonstrable understanding of health and safety legislations.
• Experience in an Asphalt or similar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate loading shovel and mobile plant equipment.
• Assist production of asphalt by loading materials into the asphalt plant.
• Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance on mobile plant.
• Operate other mobile plant such as telehandler and MEWP.
• Operate weighbridge and dispatch orders; liaise with the commercial team.
• Carry out daily housekeeping duties.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
