Job summary

Lunnasting Primary School in Vidlin, Shetland, is seeking a Learning Support Worker to assist with care, welfare and education of children with additional support needs as part of the ELC and primary setting. The post is temporary and part-time, working 22.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year plus pro-rata holiday entitlement.

Salary includes the Distant Islands Allowance. PVG checks and SSSC registration are required or will be completed after offer.

Qualifications

• Support ASN children in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and guidelines.
• Work with teachers and/or in an early learning and childcare setting as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care, welfare and education of children with additional support needs.
• Work with individual children or groups within school, following an IEP where applicable.
