Job summary

The role requires commitment to quality service delivery and ongoing improvement, with pre-employment PVG Scheme checks and references. Interviews are planned per the council process.

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• A PVG Scheme or update check is required for the preferred candidate.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if you have spent 3+ months abroad in the last 5 years.
• A confirmed offer is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising the standards of pupil attainment.
• Provide general support in relation to the needs of the class and individuals’ care, health, wellbeing and safety.
• Ensure a secure and safe environment within the school.
