Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to work for a GP practice in Ashbourne. The role supports the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. Experience in primary care or the NHS is preferred; phlebotomy experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS
• Phlebotomy experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
