Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for an Aseptic Services Technician (Band 3 to Band 4 Development Role). This post supports the preparation and supply of aseptically prepared medicines, including cytotoxic or clinical trial products, within our GMP-compliant cleanroom and isolator environment.

You will undertake training to achieve SMT qualification and Band 4 competencies, with progression to broader specialist activities and staff training.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required.
• Level 2 BTEC Pharmacy Skills or Unit 7 Principles of Safe Preparation.
• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to complete the Trust's aseptic competency programme.
• Understanding of GMP principles and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and supply of aseptically prepared medicines.
• Work within GMP/ PQS SOPs and contribute to audits.
• Train, supervise and develop less experienced staff.
• Prepare medicines including cytotoxic and clinical trial products.
