Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a motivated support worker to join our aseptic services team. The role focuses on preparing cytotoxics and monoclonal antibodies, maintaining validation processes, and supporting quality control in the aseptic suite.

You should hold an NVQ 2 in pharmacy services or be willing to undertake it; manufacturing or laboratory experience is welcome. The post requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and flexibility to adapt as we develop skills

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent, or willingness to undertake the qualification.
• Manufacturing or laboratory experience is welcome and viewed as advantageous.
• Demonstrates accuracy, reliability and a proactive approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date broth test and hatch transfer validation for aseptic work.
• Prepare cytotoxics, monoclonal antibodies and other aseptic products daily per SOPs.
• Ensure handling and storage procedures for cytotoxic/aseptic medicines are followed; clear spills per procedures.
• Clean isolators on a sessional basis.
• Assist in Quality Control and Quality Assurance of the aseptic preparation area.
