We are recruiting for several exciting opportunities within the Steriles Business Unit, including multiple Manufacture Operator positions (Q Block).

We proudly manufacture 38 different medicines in over 1500 pack variations to treat HIV, Cancer, Infectious Disease, Migraine, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Asthma, Cold Sore and Acne, to name just a few. We supply to over 130 markets around the world.

Successful applicants will work as part of the Steriles production team which manufacture and fill sterile products.

You will be required to work at 24:7 shift pattern.

In this role you will...

  • Be required to qualify and maintain a sterile operating license.
  • Be involved in the critical activities for setting up of an aseptic filling isolator including, glove integrity testing, machine clean, machine build and VHP.
  • Be involved in the running of an aseptic isolator using critical glove ports to perform interventions such as fitting SUA, environmental monitoring, sterile transfers.
  • Interact with multiple sterile interfaces such as ISS and RTP / IDC ports.
  • Performing filter testing including PUPSIT and PUIT.
  • Be part of critical decision making with cross functional teams (Micro, MSAT, OQ, Eng and R&D)
  • Use of digital systems (MES, PCS7, A1PE)
  • You will be required to work in a cleanroom environment and display the appropriate aseptic behaviours at all times.
  • Supporting of filling operations - component and finished product processing and IPC checks.
  • Preparation via parts washer and subsequent autoclaving of sterilised parts.
  • Complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner and work on a variety of computer and automation systems.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently or have previously held a sterile area license.
  • Good understanding of digital systems and platforms.
  • Have a minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent pharmaceutical experience.

  • Meet the GSK Expectations of: Teamwork, courage, development and accountability.
  • Be able to apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), explaining its fundamental importance to pharmaceutical manufacture.
  • Be able to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement using GPS.
  • Have flexibility to work the defined shift patterns.

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
  • Previous aseptic isolator experience
