Job summary

Bimeda is seeking a Microbiologist in Cambridge, Ontario. The role focuses on aseptic environmental monitoring and microbial testing to support manufacturing under cGMP/SOPs. You will back up the Microbiology Supervisor and contribute to quality control and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include method development, documentation reviews, and collaboration across teams. A 3–5 year background in pharma QA is essential, with a BSc in Microbiology.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical industry including Quality Assurance.
• Specializes in Aseptic environment monitoring and various microbial testing.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GMP/GLP, and QA systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure microbiology testing for raw materials and finished products meets manufacturing requirements.
• Comply with Safety, GMP/GLP, SOPs, and housekeeping standards.
• Develop and validate testing methods for routine analyses of materials and products.
• Review documentation for accuracy and GMP/GLP compliance.
• Assist in environmental monitoring, including aseptic processes, as needed.
• Participate in audits and provide training as required.
• Possibly stay beyond scheduled shift to meet business needs.
