Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an ASD Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND provision in Rochdale. This full-time, ongoing role starts after October half term and requires experience supporting learners with complex ASD within specialist settings.

The successful candidate will support pupils with communication, regulation and daily routines, maintaining calm, consistent and positive interactions in demanding situations.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 2 TA or Level 2 HSC qualification.
• Proven experience supporting learners with complex ASD.
• Reliable, consistent approach with commitment to learners with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with complex ASD and additional needs.
• Support communication, emotional regulation, engagement and daily routines.
• Respond calmly to challenging behaviour, following individual support plans and policies.
• Assist with personal care and physical needs where required.
• Implement strategies promoting safety, positive behaviour, independence and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
