Job summary

Academics is seeking an ASD Support Assistant for a Specialist School in West Berkshire to support pupils with Autism and related needs. The role involves working closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small group assistance, helping pupils engage with learning and develop communication and emotional regulation skills.

Pay: £90.00 - £105.00 per day

A welcoming and inclusive Specialist School in West Berkshire is seeking a committed ASD Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Autism and other additional needs within a structured, nurturing, and supportive school environment.

As an ASD Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may have a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, learning difficulties, and SEMH needs.

The successful ASD Support Assistant will work alongside experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and specialist support staff who are passionate about providing every pupil with the individual support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism and additional needs
  • Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Helping pupils engage positively with classroom activities and learning
  • Supporting the implementation of personalised strategies and routines

This ASD Support Assistant position would be ideal for someone with previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism or other Special Educational Needs.
