Job summary

Ilkley Grammar School is seeking an Inclusive Learning Support Assistant to join the School-Led Resourced Provision (SRP) – Communication and Interaction team, including ASD. The role is 30 hours per week, term time plus 3 days, with Scale Pay Point 7 (range 7–11) £18,819–£20,436 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with ASD or similar communication and interaction needs.
• Ability to work in partnership with teaching staff to implement care plans.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Work as directed to support students with ASD to access the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers to enable students to achieve their personal best.
• Promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
• Monitor student progress and report to the SRP Manager.
• Support and champion SRP and inclusion across the school.
