Job summary

St John Bosco College in Greater London is seeking a dedicated Learning and Pastoral Support Coordinator to join the ASD Base team. You will mentor pupils, coordinate support programmes and help create a safe, inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.

You will work closely with the ASD Base Lead and staff to monitor progress, plan interventions, and support wellbeing and attendance. This role emphasises safeguarding, collaboration and holistic student development.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral support or safeguarding in a school setting
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to coordinate with teaching staff and external agencies

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mentoring and targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, particularly those facing barriers to learning
• Monitor, track, and review pupil progress, ensuring high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement
• Coordinate daily timetables and oversee pupil-focused administrative processes
• Support the ASD Base Lead in planning, data tracking, and preparing for EHCP reviews and meetings
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure effective classroom support and consistent provision
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupils holistically
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school community
