TeacherActive is working with a Chester-based specialist school to recruit a full-time ASC Teaching Assistant from September for a long-term role. You will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and challenging behaviours, helping them access learning through tailored interventions in a structured and nurturing environment.

The role offers market-leading pay rates (£120–£220 per day) paid PAYE, with CPD opportunities and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Experience in a specialist education or SEND setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASC to access learning in a structured environment.
• Deliver tailored interventions to meet individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and consistency across staff.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and adapt plans.
