ASC Teaching Assistant – Secondary School – Cheadle, Stockport – September 2025 Start – £89.38 to £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? Do you have the empathy, patience, and dedication to make a lasting difference in a young person’s school experience?

A caring and inclusive secondary school in Cheadle (Stockport) is seeking a committed ASC Teaching Assistant to join their SEND department on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with experience or a strong interest in supporting neurodiverse learners.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASC

• Assist in delivering structured routines and visual support strategies

• Help students access learning across the curriculum while promoting independence

• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external agencies to implement EHCPs and targeted support plans

• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour in line with the school’s inclusive ethos

• Location: Cheadle, Stockport

• Start Date: September 2025

• Contract: Full-time for the academic year (with potential to become permanent)

• Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:15pm
