Zest Education is helping to recruit Teaching Assistants for a brand-new specialist school in Twickenham, supporting pupils aged 5-16 with ASC and SEMH. The role is full-time (part-time considered) and offers temp-to-perm opportunities with ASAP start.

You'll work in small classes, provide tailored support, and collaborate with teachers and therapists to create a calm, structured learning environment. Strong interest in neurodiverse education and a patient, compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND settings OR transferable skills (care, youth work, psychology, sports coaching, etc.)
• Ideal for Psychology graduates looking for a relevant field
• A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
• Ability to commit to full‑time hours preferred, though part‑time days may be considered
• Desire to build long‑term relationships - temp‑to‑perm role, and the school is keen to offer permanent contracts to the right people

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASC and SEMH needs
• Work within small classes of 4-6 students
• Provide tailored support based on your experience and strengths
• Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation and social development
• Some personal care may be required - training and support provided
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create a positive, structured learning environment
