SGS is hiring an Asbestos Surveyor based in Peterborough. You will conduct asbestos surveys and sampling at client sites across the UK, reporting findings accurately and advising on safe management.

The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with paid overtime. Benefits include a company vehicle, pension up to 8% matched, private medical cover from day one and 24 days leave plus holidays and a birthday day.

Formación

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying OR P402 Qualification.
• Full Driving License for use in the UK.
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in Asbestos Surveying.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct asbestos surveys, safely sample suspect materials, and accurately record findings in line with job instructions and internal procedures.
• Assess identified asbestos risks, advise clients on appropriate removal or safe management, and provide ongoing support to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate closely with clients and project teams, ensuring effective communication, timely reporting, and resolution of any on‑site issues.

Educación

RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying OR P402 Qualification

Full Driving License for use in the UK

Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in Asbestos Surveying

• Salary: from £38,000 pa DOE & Company Vehicle
• Pension: Up to 8% matched

Join SGS as an Asbestos Surveyor, carrying out asbestos surveys and sampling at client sites across the UK. You’ll provide accurate, practical advice to help clients manage asbestos risks and meet their legal and safety responsibilities. Be advised most of the initial work is to work on domestic properties

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is technically knowledgeable, safety-focused and highly detail-oriented. You'll be confident working independently, travelling to and working on client sites; assessing asbestos risks and providing practical, compliant advice with a professional approach

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying OR P402 Qualification
• Full Driving License for use in the UK
• Minimum 6 months relevant work experience in Asbestos Surveying
