Job summary

Element is recruiting an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst for a nuclear decommissioning site at Trawsfynydd, North Wales. You will perform surveys, sampling, and air monitoring while ensuring UKAS accreditation and compliance.

You will bring BOHS P403/404 & P402, strong communication, and a disciplined approach. A full UK driving licence is essential, with options to work from Element offices or client sites as required.

Qualifications

• BOHS P403/P404 & P402 or equivalent must-have qualification.
• Experience conducting Certificate of Reoccupation, Certificate of Cleanliness and all Air Monitoring activities.
• Experience of technical reviewing of asbestos reports and air monitoring documentation.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and legislative guidance in relation to asbestos UKAS accredited practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in the asbestos industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Logical and structured approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident approach with good interpersonal skills and ability to self manage.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Represent Element in a professional manner at all times.
• Conduct Certificate of Reoccupation, Certificate of Cleanliness and all Air Monitoring activities.
• Carry out reinspection and all survey activities, collate and produce sampling information, reports, site plans and related documentation.
• Ensure quality policies and procedures are adhered to to maintain UKAS accreditation.
• Participate in internal QA audits and external proficiency schemes.
• Remain up to date with asbestos legislation and industry best practice.
• Maintain relevant qualifications to operate within asbestos industry.
• Support the business by working flexibly from Element offices or client sites.
