Job summary

Lucion is seeking a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst for the Northampton area. You will undertake site-based surveys, air tests, and clearance work, delivering accurate reports and practical asbestos advice to clients.

Qualified in P402/P403/P404 or RSPH, you will work within a Hazardous Materials team, travelling between sites and ensuring compliance with HSG248/HSG264. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404, or holds RSPH equivalent.
• Good knowledge of HSG248 and HSG264.
• Experience as an asbestos professional with sound technical judgement.
• Capable of working independently while being part of a team.
• Enjoys travelling between sites and prioritises quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Conduct asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Carry out air monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• Perform 4-stage clearance and reoccupation testing.
• Inspect remediation works and verify contractor work.
• Record site information using phablet and NexGen reporting.
• Produce accurate, defensible reports for clients.
• Discuss findings with clients and provide practical asbestos advice.
• Adhere to legislation and guidance (HSG248/HSG264).
• Maintain QHSE paperwork and internal quality processes.

We're looking for a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, covering the Northampton area.

If you know your P402 from your P404, can spot a dodgy sample from a mile away, and believe that “good enough” isn't good enough — we'd like to hear from you.

What will you actually be doing?

No two days are quite the same. You'll be out on site, working with clients, contractors and colleagues to make sure asbestos risks are properly identified, managed and controlled.

Your day could include:

• Management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Air monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• 4-stage clearances and reoccupation testing.
• Inspecting remediation works and making sure contractors have actually done the job properly.
• Recording site information using a phablet and our NexGen reporting system.
• Producing accurate, defensible reports.
• Talking to clients, answering questions and providing practical asbestos advice.
• Working to the relevant legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264.
• Keeping your QHSE paperwork up to date and following our internal quality processes.

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404, RSPH equivalent, or holds a relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Comfortable working to HSG248 and HSG264.
• An experienced asbestos professional with sound technical judgement.
• Happy working independently while still being part of a supportive team.
• Calm when things get busy and confident when challenging work that isn't up to standard.
• Comfortable travelling between sites.
• A holder of a full UK manual driving licence.
• Most importantly, you care about doing a quality job.
