Job summary

Lucion in Brighton is seeking a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team. You’ll work on site, covering Brighton, identifying and managing asbestos risks, and producing accurate reports.

Expect varied days on client sites, with travel between locations and a strong emphasis on quality and safety. You’ll be qualified (P402/P403/P404 or RSPH equivalent) and comfortable with HSG248/HSG264, bringing sound judgement and the ability to work independently within a

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404, or RSPH equivalent, or holds a relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Comfortable working to HSG248 and HSG264 guidance.
• Experienced asbestos professional with sound technical judgement.
• Able to work independently while supporting a team.
• Calm when busy and confident dealing with challenging work.
• Willing to travel between sites and hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work on site with clients, contractors and colleagues to identify and manage asbestos risks.
• Undertake management, refurbishment and demolition surveys as required.
• Carry out asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Perform air monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• Contribute to 4-stage clearance and reoccupation testing.
• Inspect remediation works and verify contractor performance.
• Record site information using phablet and NexGen reporting system.
• Produce accurate, defensible reports and provide practical asbestos advice.

Every survey you complete, every air test you carry out and every clearance you sign off helps keep people safe. That's something worth taking pride in.

We're looking for a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, covering the Brighton area.

If you know your P402 from your P404, can spot a dodgy sample from a mile away, and believe that "good enough" isn't good enough - we'd like to hear from you.

What will you actually be doing?

No two days are quite the same. You'll be out on site, working with clients, contractors and colleagues to make sure asbestos risks are properly identified, managed and controlled.

Your Day Could Include

• Management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Air monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• 4-stage clearances and reoccupation testing.
• Inspecting remediation works and making sure contractors have actually done the job properly.
• Recording site information using a phablet and our NexGen reporting system.
• Producing accurate, defensible reports.
• Talking to clients, answering questions and providing practical asbestos advice.
• Working to the relevant legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264.
• Keeping your QHSE paperwork up to date and following our internal quality processes.

Put simply: you'll be trusted to do the job properly - without cutting corners.

What are we looking for?

We're not expecting Superman (although a decent PPE-changing speed would be appreciated).

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404, RSPH equivalent, or holds a relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Comfortable working to HSG248 and HSG264.
• An experienced asbestos professional with sound technical judgement.
• Happy working independently while still being part of a supportive team.
• Calm when things get busy and confident when challenging work that isn't up to standard.
• Comfortable travelling between sites.
• A holder of a full UK manual driving licence.
