Job summary

Lucion Services Ltd is seeking a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, covering the Bedford area. You’ll identify and manage asbestos risks on site, talking to clients and coordinating with contractors to ensure safe outcomes.

You’ll work on on-site surveys, air monitoring, and 4-stage clearances while adhering to HSG248/HSG264 and internal QA processes. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404, RSPH equivalent, or holds a relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Comfortable working to HSG248 and HSG264.
• Experienced asbestos professional with sound technical judgement.
• Happy working independently while still being part of a supportive team.
• Calm when things get busy and confident when challenging work that isn’t up to standard.
• Holder of a full UK manual driving licence.
• Ideally based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Air monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• 4-stage clearances and reoccupation testing.
• Inspecting remediation works and making sure contractors have actually done the job properly.
• Recording site information using a phablet and our NexGen reporting system.
• Producing accurate, defensible reports.
• Talking to clients, answering questions and providing practical asbestos advice.
• Working to the relevant legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264.
• Keeping your QHSE paperwork up to date and following our internal quality processes.

We’re looking for a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, covering the Bedford area.

What will you actually be doing?

No two days are quite the same. You’ll be out on site, working with clients, contractors and colleagues to make sure asbestos risks are properly identified, managed and controlled.

Your Day Could Include
