Job description

Our client is a leading name within the asbestos industry renowned for their expertise in providing asbestos services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently seeking a hardworking, versatile and multi-disciplined Asbestos Surveyor /Analyst in and around the Chelmsford area. The ideal applicant previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst undertaking asbestos surveys on a range of site and contract types as well as 4 stage clearances and air monitoring duties. The ideal candidate will also hold the P402/3/4 asbestos certificates. They will consider applications from Bishop Stortford, Harlow, Colchester, Ipswich, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

• Will possess the P402, P403 and P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
• Have significant experience working within asbestos surveying and air‑testing/air‑monitoring within the asbestos industry.
• Experience with managing own workload and providing a consultancy service to clients would be advantageous.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out asbestos 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re‑occupation and personal air testing on various properties.
• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various sites.
• Overseeing asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they comply with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
• Collating and producing asbestos reports as and when required.
• Establishing and maintaining a good working rapport with the company’s portfolio of clients.
