Job summary

Lucion is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst for a dual-trained, field-based position in Brighton. You will perform surveys, air testing, and 4-stage clearances while ensuring compliance with HSG248 and HSG264.

Join a safety-minded team that values quality reporting, client communication, and on-site decision making. DBS check may be required for the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404 or RSPH equivalent.
• Holds a relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Comfortable with HSG248/HSG264 guidance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Perform asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Carry out air monitoring and fibre counting.
• Complete 4-stage clearances and reoccupation testing.
• Inspect remediation works and verify contractor compliance.
• Record site information using a phablet and NexGen reporting.

Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst - Dual Trained

Brighton | Field-Based | Full-Time

Let's be honest - asbestos surveying and analysis isn't glamorous.

But it is important.

Every survey you complete, every air test you carry out and every clearance you sign off helps keep people safe. That's something worth taking pride in.

We're looking for a Dual-Trained Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join our Hazardous Materials team, covering the Brighton area.

If you know your P402 from your P404, can spot a dodgy sample from a mile away, and believe that "good enough" isn't good enough - we'd like to hear from you.

What will you actually be doing?

No two days are quite the same. You'll be out on site, working with clients, contractors and colleagues to make sure asbestos risks are properly identified, managed and controlled.

Your Day Could Include

• Management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
• Asbestos in the ground surveys and inspections.
• Air monitoring and airborne fibre counting.
• 4-stage clearances and reoccupation testing.
• Inspecting remediation works and making sure contractors have actually done the job properly.
• Recording site information using a phablet and our NexGen reporting system.
• Producing accurate, defensible reports.
• Talking to clients, answering questions and providing practical asbestos advice.
• Working to the relevant legislation and guidance, including HSG248 and HSG264.
• Keeping your QHSE paperwork up to date and following our internal quality processes.

Put simply: you'll be trusted to do the job properly - without cutting corners.

What are we looking for?

We're not expecting Superman (although a decent PPE-changing speed would be appreciated).

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

• Qualified in P402, P403 and/or P404, RSPH equivalent, or holds a relevant Certificate of Competence.
• Comfortable working to HSG248 and HSG264.
• An experienced asbestos professional with sound technical judgement.
• Happy working independently while still being part of a supportive team.
• Calm when things get busy and confident when challenging work that isn't up to standard.
• Comfortable travelling between sites.
• A holder of a full UK manual driving licence.
