Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to conduct the full range of asbestos surveying duties across domestic, commercial and industrial properties in the Yorkshire region. You will collect site data, transport samples to UKAS laboratories, complete survey reports and drawings, and build strong client relationships while delivering accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Committed to delivering high standards and maintaining a healthy work–life balance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys in line with HSG264 and company procedures.
• Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited laboratories approved by the company.
• Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software.
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support where required.
• Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality team, Contracts team, Project Managers, Supervisors and clients while promoting the company professionally.

£32,000 – £40,000 base salary, exclusive of weekend working (OTE including weekends: £46,000)

Interviews are routinely held on Wednesday afternoons; however, we are happy to offer flexibility where needed to support applicants' individual circumstances.

• Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited laboratories approved by the company
• Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support where required
• Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality team, Contracts team, Project Managers, Supervisors and clients as required, while setting a personal example and promoting the company in a professional manner at all times

Required Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors
• Full UK driving licence
