Job summary

Mitie Group plc. seeks an Asbestos Consultant to conduct surveys and sampling across a range of properties. You will perform air monitoring, clearance procedures, and deliver survey reports using company software, while building strong client relationships.

The role requires BOHS P402 and P403/404 qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work locally with minimal overnight stays.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties in accordance with HSG264 and company procedures.
• Carry out additional duties including collecting site data, transport of asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited laboratories approved by the company, and completing asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software.
• Conduct air monitoring and 4‑stage clearance procedures in line with HSG248 and our UKAS‑accredited procedures.
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support when required.
• Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality, Contracts, Projects Managers and Supervisor as and when required, and liaise with clients where necessary.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• BOHS P402 qualified (or equivalent).
• BOHS P403/P404 qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors.
• Full UK driving licence.
