Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to perform a full range of surveying duties across domestic, commercial and industrial properties in Guildford. The role includes reporting, client support and technical guidance, with a base salary of £32,000–£40,000 and an OTE of £46,000.

A full UK driving licence and BOHS P402 are required, with a company car/van provided for travel. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including enhanced pension, share schemes, and access to lifestyle

• Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, and surveys across various properties per HSG264.
• Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited labs.
• Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software.
• Build and maintain client relationships, offering specialist advice and technical support.
• Liaise with internal teams and clients while promoting Mitie professionally.

SALARY £32,000 – £40,000 base salary, exclusive of weekend working (OTE including weekends: £46,000)

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos sampling, reinspections, Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties in accordance with HSG264 and company procedures
• Collect site data and transport asbestos samples to UKAS‑accredited laboratories approved by the company
• Complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software
• Build and maintain client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support where required
• Liaise with the Asbestos Surveying Quality team, Contracts team, Project Managers, Supervisors and clients as required, while setting a personal example and promoting the company in a professional manner at all times

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• BOHS P402 qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors
• Full UK driving licence
