Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth in asbestos services and secure profitable new contracts across the UK. You will build relationships with potential clients, lead competitive tenders, and collaborate with Operations Managers and the broader sales team to deliver sustainable growth.

This national role offers flexibility to work office-based, remote, or hybrid, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and achieving annual targets.

Qualifications

• Experience within sales or bids environments.
• Experience in asbestos, construction, engineering or related sectors is advantageous.
• IT literate with CRM systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a wide network of contacts in the asbestos marketplace to generate new business.
• Prospect new clients, promote SOCOTEC services, and lead tender submissions.
• Support quotation documentation and sales presentations; collaborate with Operations and senior staff.
• Contribute to strategic sales activities, campaigns and collateral; identify new service opportunities.
• Handover closed sales to operational colleagues and manage account growth.
