Job summary

The London Borough of Waltham Forest is hiring an ASB Officer for a six-month fixed-term post in the ASB Team. You will manage a caseload of low-level and complex ASB cases and pursue remedies through civil injunctive and court actions.

You will work 36 hours per week with some weekend and evening work, coordinate with police and councillors, and ensure timely case progression with robust records. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must have UK work authorisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of dealing with low-level and complex ASB casework.
• Ability to liaise with legal teams to progress cases through civil and criminal courts.
• Strong written and verbal communication for public-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex and high-level ASB cases and pursue legal remedies.
• Liaise with legal teams to progress cases through civil and criminal courts, including witness statements and court attendance.
• Investigate and resolve ASB complaints via low-level interventions and ASB remedies.
• Coordinate with police, neighbourhood officers, licensing teams and other agencies.
• Maintain thorough case management notes and up-to-date systems.
• Participate in partnership operations with police and joint patrols.
• Enforce Public Space Protection Orders and work some weekends/evenings.
