Job summary

Barnardo's Bridgend team is seeking an As and When Assistant Project Worker to support interventions across Atebion Disability Family Support Service and Bridgend Support Service for Parents. You will work with parents, carers and families one-to-one and in groups, helping them access practical strategies and activities.

The role is flexible, with hours based on demand, including after school and evening work.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and families.
• Experience in co-facilitating group-based interventions with parents and carers.
• Experience in supporting parents and carers through coaching or mentoring.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with parents, carers and families one-to-one and in groups to identify needs and support positive outcomes.
• Co-facilitate group interventions, including workshops and drop-in events for parents and carers.
• Support co-production activities to ensure families' voices shape service development.
• Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures consistently and confidently.
