Job summary

University of St Andrews is seeking a proactive Research Development Manager (Arts & Humanities) to support and implement the University’s Research and Innovation Strategy. You will assist researchers in understanding funding calls, provide specialist advice on proposals, and guide applicants in relation to research application procedures.

You will contribute to new initiatives to improve service delivery and success rates, and may lead a subset of these initiatives as required.

Qualifications

• Develop research development plans aligned to funders and disciplines.
• Advise on proposal content to meet funder criteria and governance.
• Support internal capacity building to develop fundable research and excellent service design.

Responsibilities

• Support development of research funding plans aligned to disciplines and funders.
• Provide expert advice on proposal content to ensure alignment with funding criteria.
• Work with Heads of Research Development to manage larger bids and collaborations.
• Lead initiatives designed to improve service or success rates.
