Job summary

Sandwell Museum Service is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Arts and Projects Officer to lead on community engagement through arts and heritage. You will work with audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds to create meaningful experiences and foster inclusive access.

The post holder will build partnerships, apply for external funding, manage projects and events, and contribute to the museum's management team to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement and working with diverse cultural groups.
• Ability to develop partnerships and work with external organisations.
• Grant writing and fundraising experience is an asset.
• Project management and event delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead on community engagement through arts and heritage.
• Develop and manage community engagement projects and programmes.
• Nurture partnerships with organisations and community groups.
• Secure external funding and complete grant applications.
• Deliver events and activities for visitors and the local community.
