A leading school in London seeks an Artist in Residence to enhance the creative life of the school while teaching Art. The role emphasizes innovation, personal development, and a commitment to student engagement. Candidates should possess strong teaching expertise and communication skills, contributing to a vibrant school community.
We are thrilled to be advertising for an Artist in Residence, a key appointment in our academic and co-curricular teams.
Role Overview
As a growing school, an opportunity has arisen to join us in an exciting role that combines contribution to the creative life of the school with some classroom teaching in Art.
Teaching at Thomas’s College offers a remarkable opportunity to help build a new type of school: one that values a diversity of excellence and talent, and one that prioritises choice and flexibility over a fixed curriculum. Our teaching roles are built on three qualities: genuine subject passion, enthusiasm, and care for students. Additionally, teaching at the College requires a delight in innovation, personal learning, and development. Teachers will thrive on the role's intensity while maintaining balance and wellbeing. They will enjoy involvement in all areas of school life and working with students as individuals.
The responsibilities include teaching Art classes as allocated, likely on a single day per week, and supporting clubs and school life as an artist, which may occur flexibly on other days. All teachers participate in duties and co-curricular activities. The Artist in Residence will primarily contribute in their specialist area but may also engage in other aspects of school life, support trips, etc., as desired.
We invite applications from dynamic and enthusiastic candidates excited by this opportunity. For further details, visit thomas-s.co.uk/join-our-team or email hrcollege@thomas-s.co.uk.
