An innovative institution is seeking a creative Artist in Residence for a one-year assignment. The position of Artist in Residence is a one-year assignment for a working artist in any medium. The successful applicant will have access to studio space and facilities within the Art Department, including an etching press, ceramics kilns, darkroom, and other equipment.
The post holder is expected to contribute to curriculum and co-curricular Art, as well as community work within our purpose-built gallery.
The Artist will be engaged on a self-employed basis for an average of 3 days per week. The position is flexible and may evolve during the residency. Opportunities may also include exhibiting work within the Gerald Moore Gallery.
Eltham College is a successful independent day school in south-east London, educating students aged 7 to 18 across Junior and Senior Schools. The college has over 800 students in the Senior School and around 260 in the Junior School, with a reputation for academic, pastoral, and co-curricular excellence.
