Job Description:

We are a thriving secondary school in Merton, committed to providing high-quality art education that develops students' artistic talents, visual literacy, and appreciation for the arts. We are seeking a talented Art Teacher to join our dedicated Art department, teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and fostering a love for visual expression.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a stimulating environment encouraging creativity and artistic development.
  • Teach various Art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Introduce students to Art history and contemporary practices.
  • Organise and participate in school exhibitions and art events.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high standards of Art teaching.
Requirements:
