Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking an Art & DT Textiles Teacher to join our Expressive Arts Department in Telford. This role involves teaching Art & Design across KS3-KS4, delivering engaging, practical lessons, and inspiring student creativity.

The successful candidate will hold UK QTS or equivalent, have strong subject knowledge in Art & Design, and be able to plan high-quality resources, assess progress, and contribute to exhibitions and enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design for secondary education.
• Experience teaching at KS3-KS4 with practical and theory-based lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art & Design across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging, creative, and practical lessons that capture students' imagination.
• Plan and prepare high-quality learning resources to encourage artistic exploration.
• Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and confidence.
• Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback to promote progress.
• Contribute to the culture of creativity within the department and wider school.

Art Teacher Specification

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and skilled Art Teacher to join our vibrant Expressive Arts Department on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students across Art & Design.

Requirements

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design
• Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3-KS4)
• Ability to deliver practical and theory-based lessons with clear progression
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• Passion for the Arts and commitment to fostering student creativity
