Job summary

Empowering Learning in Telford is seeking an Art & DT Textiles Teacher to join our Expressive Arts Department. The role covers Art & Design across KS3–KS4, delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons that spark creativity in students.

The successful candidate will hold UK QTS or equivalent, bring strong subject knowledge, and be able to plan high-quality resources, assess progress, and contribute to school exhibitions and enrichment projects. Sept 2026 start.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Strong subject knowledge in Art & Design.
• Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3-KS4).
• Ability to deliver practical and theory-based lessons with clear progression.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for the Arts and commitment to fostering student creativity.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art & Design across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging, creative, and practical lessons that capture students' imagination.

Art Teacher Specification

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and skilled Art Teacher to join our vibrant Expressive Arts Department on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students across Art & Design.

Requirements

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
