Job summary

The Pride Academy in London is seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join our welcoming school community. You will deliver tailored Art lessons for students with additional needs, helping every child reach their full potential.

The role requires QTS or equivalent and experience in SEMH settings. You will collaborate with staff and external professionals to support wellbeing and develop an inclusive Art curriculum.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a qualification in Art or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Art, ideally in SEMH, special school or alternative provision.
• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and restorative approach to behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated Art lessons that meet diverse needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages self-expression and confidence.
• Use assessment to monitor progress and set personalised targets.
• Contribute to an inclusive Art curriculum with enrichment opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, pastoral teams and external professionals to support wellbeing.
