Job description

Are you passionate about creativity, visual expression, and nurturing artistic talent? We are seeking an imaginative and dedicated Art Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive creative arts faculty.You will be responsible for delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level or equivalent) depending on experience. The role offers the chance to inspire students through a broad range of media, from traditional drawing and painting to digital art and sculpture. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as an Art Teacher:

• Deliver a creative and ambitious art curriculum that develops students' technical skills and artistic thinking

• Plan lessons that explore art history, contemporary practice, and a variety of materials and techniques

• Prepare students for internal assessments and external qualifications (GCSE/A-Level)

• Create a positive and inclusive studio environment where all students feel confident to express themselves

• Contribute to the wider life of the department through art clubs, exhibitions, and cross-curricular projects

• Support the development of student portfolios and coursework

Ideal Art Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related discipline

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for visual arts

• Experience teaching Art at secondary level (KS3–KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)

• Creativity, flexibility, and excellent classroom management skills as an Art Teacher.
