Job summary

art-K is seeking enthusiastic Self-Employed Party Leaders for its arty birthday parties during weekends. Each 3-hour session can be hosted at art-K Studios or at external venues, giving you the chance to lead events in varied environments.

You will coordinate with parents, set up spaces, guide engaging art workshops, prepare materials, and ensure a safe, inviting atmosphere. DBS checks are covered, comprehensive training is provided, and remuneration is £22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a second-year student in an Art-related university course.
• Strong proficiency in watercolour, acrylics, and air-dried clay.
• Proven experience working with children from Year 1 (aged 5-6) and upwards.
• Positive, proactive, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
• DBS check (cost covered by the self-employed person).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with parents to plan and run each event.
• Set up the studio or external venue in advance to create an engaging atmosphere.
• Lead art workshops catering to various ages and skill levels.
• Prepare and mix paints and materials for sessions.
• Instruct children on completing their art projects and encourage creativity.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards and tidy the space after each class.
