Job summary

Christie’s is seeking an Incoming Goods & Collections Technician in London to support the receipt, preparation, storage and release of client property. You will coordinate with departments and photographers to ensure timely cataloguing and movements, while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• Experience in fine art handling, warehouse operations, logistics or collections.
• Good understanding of artwork handling and packing techniques.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming client property in accordance with Christie’s procedures.
• Unpack, condition check, measure, tag and prepare property for photography and cataloguing.
• Ensure all required information is accurately captured within Christie’s systems.
• Prepare property for movement through the pre-sale workflow.
• Coordinate with Specialist Departments and photographers to ensure property is available when required.
• Assist with transfers between King Street and approved third-party storage facilities.
• Support saleroom, viewing, photography and specialist department activities as required.
