Job summary

Rastrick High School in England is seeking an Art & DT Technology Technician (3D Product Design & Art) to join our dedicated Faculty team, providing practical support to the teaching and learning of Design Technology and Art.

You will prepare materials and resources for lessons, assist in the classroom, support health and safety practices, and develop and implement whole school display materials to enhance learning environments.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an Art & DT Technology Technician (3D Product Design & Art) to join our team.

You will be joining one of the top performing non-selective schools in the local area, having just recorded the best results the school has ever seen. We have a strong focus on high standards and aspirations, built around the simple message that teaching is the most important thing we do.

You will be a key member of the Faculty team, providing practical support to the teaching and learning of DT & Art. Reporting to the Director of Faculty, you will prepare material and resources for lessons, assist in the classroom and develop, prepare and implement whole school display materials.

Core Purpose

• To provide practical support to the teaching and learning of Design Technology and Art
• Prepare materials and resources for lessons
• Supporting all subjects across the Faculty; Food, Art, Textiles and Product Design, as required.
• Assist in the classroom, supporting the teacher with their health and safety practices
• Develop, prepare and implement whole school display materials
• To ensure there is a safe and effective working environment in the Faculty

Hours

You will be working 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday, term time only, including training days plus one week.
